Download AltMap

Version 1.0 · macOS 14 or later · Apple Silicon and Intel · 3.2 MB

Installing

Open the disk image and drag AltMap to your Applications folder. On first launch macOS will ask for Accessibility permission — AltMap needs it to see the ⌥ chord while another application is in front, and to bring the target application forward. Nothing else is requested.

The build is signed with a Developer ID certificate and notarized by Apple, so it opens without a Gatekeeper warning.

What you get without paying

⌥+1 through ⌥+9 for your Dock applications, and the heads-up display, free and permanently. There is no account and no expiry on that tier.

To try the letter mappings, open Settings and start the 30-day trial. No payment details are asked for. One trial per Mac. When it ends AltMap returns to the free tier — it does not stop working.

Paste the key into Settings → License, or double-click the .altmaplicense file we emailed you. If you cannot find the email, use Recover license in the same panel, or write to support@supercyber.studio.

Uninstalling

Quit AltMap and move it to the Trash. To remove its settings as well, run defaults delete com.sea5star.AltMap in Terminal. AltMap installs no background daemon, no kernel extension, and no login item you cannot see in System Settings.
