Terms of Sale and License
These terms cover your use of AltMap and your purchase of an AltMap license. By installing AltMap or buying a license you agree to them. "We" and "us" mean SuperCyber Studio, the developer of AltMap.
Who you are buying from
Paddle.com Market Ltd is the merchant of record for the sale. Paddle takes your payment, issues your invoice, collects any applicable tax and handles refunds. Paddle's own buyer terms apply to the payment itself. We are the developer and the party responsible for the software.
What the license gives you
A license is a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable right for one person to use AltMap's paid features, for personal or commercial purposes. It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription, and it does not expire.
- One license may be activated on two Macs that you own or control — the two activations are for one person working on two machines, such as a laptop and a desktop.
- You may use it at home and at work, provided each Mac is yours to use. A Mac that other people also sign into is not covered.
- You may move a license between Macs by releasing a seat in Settings, or by asking us to release one for you.
- It covers every AltMap 1.x update. If a future major version is a paid upgrade we will say so clearly before you are asked to pay again.
- You may not resell, sublicense, rent or publish your license key. Keys found published publicly are revoked.
The free tier
The features described as free on this site remain available without a license and without a time limit. We will not move an existing free feature behind the license in AltMap 1.x.
Trial
The 30-day trial unlocks the paid features on one Mac, once. It requires no payment details and converts to nothing — when it ends AltMap returns to the free tier.
Refunds
14 days, no questions asked. The full policy is on the refunds page.
What you may not do
You may not share your license key with anyone else — a colleague, a friend or a family member needs their own. The second activation is there so that one person can work on two Macs, not so that two people can split the price. AltMap does not police this, so keeping your key to yourself is your responsibility. If you need several licenses, write to us rather than buying single ones in bulk.
You may not reverse engineer, decompile or modify AltMap except where that right cannot be excluded by law, and you may not circumvent or tamper with its license verification. AltMap and its name, icon and source remain our property; buying a license buys the use of the software, not its intellectual property.
Warranty and liability
AltMap is provided as is. We do our best to make it correct and reliable, but we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will be compatible with every future version of macOS.
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for your license. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost work or lost data. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing here affects statutory consumer rights you have where you live.
Availability of the licensing service
Starting a trial and activating a license need our server. AltMap is designed so that a verified license unlocks the paid features on your Mac without contacting us, and so that it keeps working when the server is unreachable. We do not guarantee any level of uptime for the service, and we will not use its unavailability as a reason to stop a paid license from working.
Ending the license
Your license ends if you refund the purchase, or if you breach these terms in a way you do not put right after we ask. Ending the license does not remove the free tier. You can stop using AltMap at any time by deleting it.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the effective date above changes with it. Changes apply from the date they are published and do not retroactively change the terms of a purchase you already made.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China, without affecting any mandatory consumer protection rights available to you in the country where you live.
